It is mainly used to determine whether the aerosol stays in the safety cabinet, whether the external pollutants enter the working area of the safety cabinet, and whether the aerosol pollution between the devices in the safety cabinet is reduced to a minimum. working principle:
Use potassium iodide to simulate the pollution gas or escape gas generated in the safety cabinet, use an aerosol generator to transport potassium iodide solution at a specific position inside or outside the biosafety cabinet, and produce tiny droplets of potassium iodide in the form of a challenge aerosol. Use the centripetal force working principle, use an air sampler to capture the escaped potassium iodide aerosol in the window. After sampling, take out the filter film in the sampler and put it into a petri dish containing palladium chloride solution. The drops of potassium iodide on the filter film will expand to form small brown dots that are clearly visible. The protective ability of the safety cabinet is evaluated by counting the number of dots on the filter film.
Maintenance:
1. If other gases are required in the safety cabinet, gas pipelines shall be installed at the same time.
2. In the process of transportation, it is forbidden to place and disassemble it horizontally. It is advisable to unpack it after it is moved into the installation site.
3. It should be installed near the air outlet, not at the place where the air flow changes violently and people move frequently, and not at the door. It should be downstream of the air flow direction.
4. The distance between the back and side of the equipment and the wall should be no less than 150 mm~300 mm, and the space at the top should be no less than 300 mm.
5. The workshop should be cleaned and disinfected after each experiment.
6. Once the pre-filter is damaged, it should be replaced in time.
