B2 Biosafety cabinet is generally composed of two parts: box body and bracket. The box body mainly includes the following structures: air filter system, external exhaust bellows system, sliding front window drive system, lighting source and ultraviolet light source. The control panel is equipped with power supply, ultraviolet lamp, lighting lamp, fan switch, control front glass door movement and other equipment, which can protect the test sample from external pollution, and prevent operators from contacting with harmful or unknown aerosols and splashes generated during the test operation. It is widely used in the inspection departments of medical institutions at all levels, disease/epidemic prevention and control centers at all levels Various high-level safety laboratories and various manufacturing enterprises.
The following requirements shall be met when installing B2 biosafety cabinet:
1. Altitude. Different atmospheric pressures at different altitudes may affect normal operation. Therefore, the installation location will have an altitude limit. Generally, the normal operating altitude is 2000 meters. When the altitude of the installation location exceeds the design range, it is necessary to conduct on-site commissioning of wind speed and other performance.
2. Floor. The installed floor shall be flat, firm and fire-resistant.
3. Temperature and humidity. The installed room shall be controlled by temperature and humidity. Generally, the temperature shall be 15 ℃ - 40 ℃, and the relative humidity shall not exceed 90%.
4. Room. The installation room shall have sufficient height. For indoor ventilation equipment, its top shall be at least 20cm above the ceiling of the room after installation to avoid affecting the ventilation. For the safety cabinet connected by sleeve or seal, there should be enough height to install the connecting pipes and relevant components.
5. Air supply and exhaust. If the room is equipped with air supply and exhaust system, the setting of air supply and exhaust outlets shall not affect the normal function during operation, especially the inward air flow at the front operating port. The ventilation rate of the room is generally required to be no less than 12 times per hour.

6. Power supply and socket. There should be a power supply that can meet the operation. In order to avoid unintentional power off, the power socket should be protected, such as physical isolation or locking device. The power socket should be higher than the equipment. The change of the voltage superior to the power supply will affect the airflow mode, and the voltage stabilizer with wide voltage fluctuation shall be installed if necessary.
