Biosafety cabinet is a box-type air purification negative pressure safety device that can prevent the aerosol escape of some dangerous or unknown biological particles in the process of experimental operation. It is widely used in scientific research, teaching, clinical testing and production in microbiology, biomedicine, genetic engineering, biological products and other fields. It is the most basic safety protection equipment in the first-level protective barrier of laboratory biosafety.

The biosafety cabinet is designed to protect the operator, the laboratory environment and the laboratory materials from exposure to infectious aerosols and spills that may be generated during the operation of infectious laboratory materials such as primary cultures, strains of bacteria and diagnostic specimens.

Since the statistics of operation time will directly affect the judgment of maintenance needs, we suggest that a detailed record of operation time should be prepared for reference and inquiry when using the equipment!

Cabinet surface clean

1. Clean the surface of operation area

Wipe the entire surface with a soft cotton cloth soaked in concentrated soap. Wipe off the soap with another piece of cotton cloth or towel soaked in clean hot or warm water. Dry quickly with a dry cloth or towel.

Use medical alcohol or other disinfectants to clean the contaminated or stained working surfaces and liquid tanks.

The disinfectant used should not cause damage to 304 stainless steel.

2. Clean exterior surfaces and glass doors

Any of several non-abrasive household cleaners, wiped with a soft cotton cloth or towel.

Total maintenance cycle

The recommended cycle of full maintenance is one year or 1000 working hours.
